November is a very special month, during which one of the most deeply-rooted and loved Mexican celebrations takes place, the Day of the Dead. According to this colorful tradition’s beliefs, on November 1 and 2, the souls of those who have passed, return to spend time with their loved ones.
Many Mexican families build an altar with love and dedication for their loved ones who are no longer with them, placing the things they most enjoyed in life on it so that their loved ones will return home for a visit.
When our loved ones leave this world they are not forgotten, and the Day of the Dead is a chance to remember and commemorate their life and to feel close to them again.
